Large format 5x4 photographic enlarger, made in England by De Vere. Sought after and increasingly hard to find.

Features

Incredible range of focus, and can print to a huge scale. Comes with two negative carriers, one for a 5x4 format insert, the other circular. The glass bits for these are missing, easy to replace. There is also a drawer for multigrade filters.

Lens: Meopta S Anaret 4.5 /50

Light source: currently a standard incandescent light bulb, unsure if this is what was originally there but the screw fitting looks original.

Great piece of kit, came to me via pro photography friends. I just never got around to the kind of large format work that this deserves. If you have a Hasselblad, Rollei or other vintage camera.

Condition

Good used condition overall. In regular use till about 15 years ago, then stored carefully.

The dial to lift and expand the top bellows is missing, but it is possible to adjust it manually. Bellows are sound. The lower bellows do not collapse completely, and would benefit from realigning the concertina folds with the frame underneath. Could do with replacing the velvet around the where the negative carriers slot in.

No manual, but many forums and passionate people who can help if needed.

Overall, mechanically fine, but unable to test electrically now as it's 3 phase, however this would now need rewiring anyway.
