Miriam Haskell is one of the most respected and collected names in costume jewellery. Her work is renowned for its exoticism, romance and attention to detail, with extensive use of art glass, wired beading and unplated brass filigree.
Many of her early peices are unsigned, and were produced during the war years when materials were limited. The red beads used here are plain glass painted with enamel, no doubt as red glass beads were not available.
These and the other original peices have been skillfully combined with complimentary vintage and contemporary materials to create a one off masterpeice. The necklace fastens with a hook, allowing the length to be altered from chestpiece to choker, as desired. Matching earrings available on request.
