A stunning mix of antique and modern, with beads from along the old Silk Route, and a massive accent bead from near it's end.

The large milk glass bead is a 'moon bead' much prized in Morocco as it is said to offer luck and protection. I had to haggle hard for it. Both the pearls and the owl are associated with wisdom in many cultures.

The chain and pendants are made of wired links, and give the piece a wonderful fluidity and movement. The necklace fastens with a hook, allowing the length to be altered from chestpiece to choker, as desired.
