Maia hairpin

A striking folk inspired vulcanised rubber hairpin lavished with linked pendants and beads.

Vulcan was the Roman god of fire, especially destructive fire, and craftsmanship. Maia was one of his wives. The rubber used here is sourced from industrial flooring offcuts, and the design is inspired as much by car parts as it is by tribal adorments.

A sense of luxury is given by the use of Dorado coated Swarovski bicone beads and vintage reclaimed round and teardrop glass ‘pearls’

Matching earrings and pendant available.
